Sofia Rubina „City Lights“

Lennart was literally stumbling out of Frank, his favourite cocktail counter to have his standards for the mood, when he felt like his jaw might be halfway to the medieval pavement of the narrow street. Wondering what might be the reason for the nocturnal highway of pedestrians being empty he realized that the City Lights were off so the blackout was not caused by the hammering shots.

Oh, we could write a book or a few of the two. The authors of the original version are Priit Juurmann aka P. Julm, half of Rulers Of The Deep & Broken Time Orchestra, known for the releases on Defected, Ovum, NRK & Z Records and the graduate of Berklee College of Music, the glorious soul & jazz diva Sofia Rubina. To share the extent of Sofia’s discography, she has been produced and remixed by Andy Ward, Marc Di Meo, Eric Kupper, Todd Terry & Kenny Summit on Tony Records, King Street Sounds & Solid Ground Recordings just to name a few.

Both of them being legendary representatives of Estonian underground scene for over decades now, „City Lights“ took part of #EestiLaul song contest, the preliminary of the biggest tv-show in Europe - Eurovision. Luckily for us it was not detected by the mainstream radar otherwise it wouldn’t had fit our budget. Extra voltage has been added by Spin Science, Kyka and Ricky Inch.
